[ boink. ]

Haaaay...I finally (!!!!) fixed the layout given to me by Nina. Nagkamali lang pala ako dun sa HTML nung inedit ko, which shows you just how bad I am with it. :))

So, I'm still going to change a few things here, but it looks better already, dontcha think?

Sorry for the short post... :D I'm kinda busy. Gotta go!

[ ahem ahem ]

So...well...I'm supposed to be studying but as usual I'm putting it off until the last minute. Haaay...after this I PROMISE to stick my nose in the books.

Updates? I'll be changing my layout soon! Hopefully Christian is done with it. Sorry to those whose layouts I didn't use (well I have my reasons...and it's mostly because I'm no good at HTML). Anyway, happenings. We were supposed to have our Long Tests last Monday and Tuesday, but this typhoon came and classes were suspended on both days! So we had our Math, SS and Filipino tests today.

I read another Draco/Hermione fic today and it was goooood. Grabe naadik talaga ako dun ah...
So, um, I guess I'm done with this.
BE KIND AND LEAVE A COMMENT, PEOPLE!

[ retreat ]

Boy am I tired of this layout...

So, our retreat is over and done with. It was really fun, but prepare to be bored as I write an almost-full account of what happened on July 18-19 at Capuchin Retreat Center, San Sebastian, Lipa, Batangas.

We boarded the bus at around 7 - correct me if I'm wrong. Ang saya dun! I finished the rest of my retlets (unfortunately I still owe three people theirs). We got there at around 9:15 - again, sorry if my times are wrong; these are just estimates. Section 26 was in the garden in front of CRC, waiting for the bus. Since I'd forgotten to give Denise her retlet and she was there, I just handed it to her (their retreat was quite over though). So anyway, we got in and there was a merienda waiting. After eating we went to the conference room and Sir Bong Centeno announced that we would be assigned rooms AFTER LUNCH, at which we all groaned. Because that meant lectures/speaking first, and we were all looking forward to our rooms.

Two guys in robes (dunno if they were monks) got in and taught us a song called "With Christ in My Vessel". The song goes: With Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm, smile at the storm, smile at the storm...as we go sailing home...sailing, I'm sailing home...with Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm... Some of my "wicked" classmates were laughing because the guy who was teaching us the song pronounced "vessel" as "vay-SIL". Ang sama nila oh...

Blabla kwentokwento with Fr. Chito, the director of CRC, then ta-da! Lunchtime. Dami talagang pagkain dun, kakabusog...

After lunch Sir Bong assigned rooms. We were supposed to go to room 112 (btw, same room tayo Avi!) so I went to get the key from him. Kaso mali pala nakuha ko, room 113! Sa boys yun. Hehehe... :))

As soon as we got into 112 we unpacked and read our retlets. I think mga 45 minutes yung break na yun. The bell rang, and we filed into the conference hall.

We were greeted by a seemingly energetic young man. Actually I thought he was just one of the janitors or something, but actually he was our retreat master! Hahah... Siya daw si Bro. Mike. Grabe siya magkwento, nakakatawa! Dami-dami pa, tapos may "Tutut" at "Potpot". Go to Avi's blog for details; batch retreats are basically the same.

Dinner, kakabusog ulit. After that we went back to our rooms, kala ko tulugan na. Hindi pa pala, kasi may confession pa. Whew, muntik na kong magbihis... :))

We went into San Damiano Chapel upstairs, where the Mass and confession were to be held. Confession muna, tapos Mass.

Oh no oh no oh no! So I went. Si Fr. Chito yung officiator. Anyway I think I read well, medyo mahina nga lang boses ko. But that's over, so let it be, right?

We finished at around 10:15, and even though Sir Bong said that lights out was 11 PM, he ordered us to sleep at 10:20. Antok din naman ako, so...

I'm sure everybody was texting away at that time.

Woke up at 1 AM, tried to turn the fan off because it was too cold. Nah, too hot. Woke up again at 5:30, when Sir Bong was doing his usual "Girls, gising na!" wake-up call.

Breakfast, then morning prayer, then pack up, then alis. :)

We left Capuchin at around 10:20. Masaya ulit sa bus, naglaro sila Wes ng Deal or No Deal with Ms. Sison. We (the Jerome Fans Club) also managed to take a picture of our "idol".

Arrived in Bene at 11, decided to stay up to 3:30, so got home at 5 PM. Natulog kaagad, puyat eh.

So yun. That's what happened during our retreat...ang saya! Hehe :D

[ in a fix? ]

There's reason to celebrate...I got my archives! Ha. A simple thing, really. I mean, who doesn't know how to put archives on their blog? The reason I haven't been able to put it here is because I don't have the time. Time, the usual culprit.

Anyway, two more days until our much-awaited retreat! I'm planning to make retlets for everybody, kaso nakakatamad. Haaaay. Four retlets done and counting. No, actually, not counting. I'm not doing any more. Ayoko na! I mean, who are going to give me retlets, anyway? The only people worth giving to are my best friends and the people who already gave me theirs. So my efforts in making a letter for those who won't give me one in return are, well, wasted.

Yesterday we went to MakatiMed for my TRE. Don't ask.

I have a CD of High School Musical already (painggit! ha!). No big deal.

Yesterday we also watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Review? Three words. It. Was. Empty. Yes, empty, in the sense that it wasn't fulfilling. Bitin, you might say. Sure, there were a lot of fight scenes, thrillers and the like, but when you think about it, you'll think something like "What exactly was it about? What did I just see?" Plus the ending made me say "Ha? Yun lang?!" I mean, it was like a ploy to make us all watch Pirates 3. All in all, I would say it was not a memorable movie. I liked Curse of the Black Pearl better. In Dead Man's Chest, a lot of questions are left unanswered, like (WARNING: SPOILERS!)

* What really happened to Jack?
* What will whoever-he-is do with Davy Jones's heart?
* When will Elizabeth and Will really get married?
* What is Barbossa doing in this movie?

See what I mean? No? Watch it.

I like the Pirates movies and Johnny, Keira and Orlando. But this doesn't, in my opinion, do justice to the first movie and the three stars' talents. Maybe they'll just have to make Pirates 3 better.

Yesterday was also supposed to be our group practice at Theresa's (?). I didn't get to come because of my TRE. I wonder what they did, sayang di ako nakapunta. Oh well.

ANOTHER TIMELINE:
//July 11-no classes because of St. Benedict's Feast Day; practice at Louine's.
//July 12-classes suspended (!)
//July 13-no classes because of typhoon Florita.
//July 14-after school practice; finished music of our play.

[ musta na ko ]

What a question. "Musta ka na?" It is a question that shows concern for how someone is doing. So, how am I doing?

Aubrey tagged me. It's the first time I've been tagged. Now I'm supposed to answer this (look down theeeere). And here's my usual rant: WHERE ARE MY ARCHIVES???

Anyway, I will tag...hmmm...lemme think about this. I will tag Cahren, Seppe, Lia, Pamela, Wesly, Vicky, Bianca and Jah.

Instructions:
1. The tagged victim must come up with 8 different descriptions of their perfect lover.
2. He/she needs to mention the gender of their perfect lover.
3. He/she must tag 8 more people to join this game.
4. If tagged a 2nd time, there's no need to post again.

Weeeeeeeell...here goes...

1. He should be my friend first.
You have to know the guy, man! Hindi pwede yung basta-basta lang.
2. Same as Aubrey's, he should be able to make me laugh.
What girl doesn't like a guy who has a sense of humor?
3. Mabait siya.
Hindi lang sakin, dapat pati sa iba. I like guys who are mabait. Wala lang, yun talaga eh. Basta gentleman, yun na yun.
4. Magaling mangusap.
Para may mapag usapan. :))
5. He should be smart.
Para may intellectual conversation naman din, diba? Hahah, NERD! But I like guys who know a lot, lalo na kung "mature".
6. He likes me for who I am.
I think this is in everybody's list too. The guy should accept me for me, however I may look, talk, walk, etc.
7. Cute dapat! Hahaha...
Syempre...looks don't make who a person really is but still, it helps if he looks good. Eh perfect nga, so...
8. My friends should like him.

O ayan. Done. Tinatamad akong maglagay ng iba pa, kasi wala akong time and space (dito, since the darn archives just won't show). People whom I tagged, good luck! :))

[ group practice ]

Archives ko!!! Waaahh... :((

Well, aside from that, masaya ako ngayon. :) Practice namin sa CVE Long Test (ba yun), tapos dun kami sa bahay nila Joseph. MASAYA. Anyways, here are the people who came: me, Louine, Christian, Roselyn, Fatima, Joseph (duh bahay nga niya yun eh), JM, Dominic, Ian, Victor, and Mark. May naiwan ba?

Biro mo, yung practice was supposed to be 1-5 pm pero 1pm na kami umalis... :))

Pagdating namin dun, blablabla practicepracticepractice. We had the most fun rehearsing the "seduction" part. Todo tawa. Basta, it would be better if you were there yourself. Grabe.

Then we all went for a walk. Hanggang saan? Dulo ng street. Pero masaya! Nakapayong kami, tapos on the way back pumasok sila Mark and Victor sa simbahan. Sandali lang naman eh, then we went back to Joseph's house.

After that we all sat down again and the boys played the guitar. Medyo bored kami lahat, so may nag-suggest na maglaro kami ng Truth or Dare. Again, let me say MASAYA. Yes, super! Tawa ulit. Marami akong nalamang bago tapos mas nakilala ko yung new classmates namin. Argh. The question was, "Kanino ka nagwagwapuhan sa 27?" Patay kayo sakin pag kumalat yun. Kasi naman, andun yung iba niyang friends. Kakahiya!

Well, short version lang yun. Kung andun ka talaga, hindi boring! Basta masaya! Hahahaha...nakauwi nako 7pm...add lang. Have a nice day! :)

I love the smell of Cinnamon Apple in the morning. It smells like victory.

[ time and biology ]

First of all, let me just say aaaarrrrrgh! Grrrrrr.. Where is my archive? This layout is so.. ugh! Pati comments wala! Anyways, happenings..

We had Bio Lab today. We were supposed to test different substances for acidity and basisity (if there's such a thing as basisity). I don't know what the substances were, but one was urine. Yes, urine.

When Ms. Sison announced that the boys would have to provide urine samples for our experiment, a lot of us went "Whaaaaaat?!" But today they did it anyway. Yung sa group namin, natapunan pa nga ng you know what si Erika eh. Eeeeeew.

We used pH paper, litmus paper, methyl orange and phenolphthalein to test the samples then recorded the stuff we found out. Anyway, end of story.

//

Time.. what is time for us today? Every day seems to just pass us by. Too often, we do not stop to smell the flowers. Instead we wish the day would go faster.

I would just like to share something I read in a book. Notice how, for us, time moves in a straight line? There's only yesterday, today and tomorrow. Past, present, future. Nothing else. Now how about if we go back to, say, the medieval times. For them, everything was a cycle. Everything moved in a circle. Everything was repeated, but nothing became a routine. Let me give an example: They're celebrating Christmas. We in the future are also celebrating Christmas. Well, let's compare..

About a day before Christmas, they're setting up the town square for festivities. Christmas day comes and there is much celebrating. Then it's over, and next year they will do the same thing again. But you know what, they aren't thinking of next year. They're not even thinking about tomorrow. The only thing on their minds is now.

Fast-forward to our time. A month before Christmas, we're already waiting. A day before and we feel we can't stand because it isn't coming fast enough. The day comes and we do our thing, just like we did last year. Pretty soon we don't feel the spirit anymore, because it seems like just another Christmas, a part of our routine. The day after that we wake up and say, "Christmas is over?!" Without realizing it, the occasion we've been waiting for has come and gone.

Ever wonder why life seems to go so fast, and how you suddenly realize how old you are? Ever experienced feeling like life just passed you by and you didn't even see it?

They say the secret to happiness is living in the present. I believe in that. Because if you worry too much about the future and wallow in your past mistakes, you'll never be happy. But if you concentrate on what you're doing right now and just be happy to be right there where you are, you'll enjoy life. If there's something you're waiting for, don't wish that time would go faster. In my experience, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Actually, it depends on you. You can make time go faster or slower. For each of us, time is different. Only the person can make it what he wants it to be.

So what I'm saying is, slow down. If you've ever felt life just passed you by, take a little time to remember. Plan ahead. Then return to the present, look around and see life for the first time.

QUOTES LANG..: Time is gold.; Haste makes waste.; Remember the past, live in the present and plan for the future.

//

Ahahaha.. sorry kung hindi niyo maintindihan yung "Time". I was just thinking aloud, todo English tuloy ako.

[ butones ]

Coolrip

Haha.. current LSS ko! I know, I know. Bastos siya pero I still like it. Ganda kasi nung music eh. Anyways, yung kadiring lyrics..

//

Buttons - Pussycat Dolls

Refrain
I'm telling you loosen up my buttons baby (uh huh)
But you keep fronting (uh)
Saying what you going to do to me (uh huh)
But I ain't seen nothing (uh)
//repeat

Typical, hardly the type I fall for
I'm liking the physical...don't leave me asking for more
I'm a sexy mama (mama)
Who knows just how to get what I want and (want and)
What I want to do is spring this on you (on you)
Back up all of the things that I told you (told you)

You been saying all the right things all along
But I can't seem to get you over here to help take this off
Baby, can't you see how these clothes are fitting on me
And the heat coming from this beat
I'm about to blow, I don't think you know

Refrain

You say you're a big boy but I can't agree
'Cause the love you said you had ain't been put on me
I wonder if I'm just too much for you
Wonder if my kiss don't make you just wonder what I got next for you
What you want to do? (do)

Take a chance to recognize that this could be yours
I can see, just like most guys that your game don't please
Baby, can't you see how these clothes are fitting on me
And the heat coming from this beat
I'm about to blow, I don't think you know

Refrain 2x

I'm a make you loosen up my buttons babe, loosen up my buttons babe
Why don't you loosen up my buttons babe, loosen up my buttons babe (2x)

Refrain 4x

[ hay buhay ]

Wala naman, ordinary day lang din 'to. Pero sinisipag talaga akong magblog ngayon. So anyways, happenings...

Retreat ng Section 21. Buti pa sila.. But that's okay, ours is on the 18th, which is pretty near. Excited na rin ako, though once the retreat is over wala nang hihintayin. But then again there's the field trip.

Before I went home (while waiting for the Grade School people to come out), we went to the "Damuhan", ang bagong tambayan habang naghihintay. Yung Tabing-Ilog kasi, well, AMOY ILOG. Anyway, Christian and I made a dare/to-do list for tomorrow. Yung hindi nakatapos manlilibre ng Twin Ices (as usual). This is the list...

2) Mag-recite at least 5 times.
3) Makapag-benta ng kendi.

Being the forgetful person that I am, I don't remember the rest. The list is up to 5 only, and I hope I accomplish them all.

Anyhoo...what else? Grades again? Well, if you really want to know... I got an 85 in Math. Yes, I know. Why? Sir Abrillo told us it would be a give-away test but look what I got! I was one of the lowest scorers, for crying out loud. Most people got 90 plus, and even the ones I expected would get lower grades than I would *ehemehemexcusemesorry* got a line of 9! Argh. I just don't get Math.

By the way, since today is Section 21's retreat, there will be no... could you give me a nice codename for the guy please? Oh well. Andyan pa naman si Garfield (though he doesn't look like a cat).

Yech, I think my posts are getting boring. What do you think?

QUOTE FOR THE DAY: Enjoy life while you're still alive. Your life is meant to be lived, not wasted.

[ ishkul ]

Hello!!! Anyways, about today? Wala nanamang kwento masyado. Oh well. Human Bingo pa man din yung first day. Andaming nagpasign (including my sister, of course) Hahaha.. feeling artista eh.

Math time, we had the Qualifying Exam for advanced classes. Ang hirap! Pang third year kasi yun eh. I wanted to sleep already! Eh considered quiz din yun. Sooo...

English and SS, we checked our test papers. Akala ko "not following directions" ako dun. Since I didn't read the directions, nasulat ko sa blank yung sagot. 20 items yun! Pero ayos lang, Ms. Diaz considered it correct anyway. SS naman, modified true or false, nakalagay Charles-Louise de Secondat. So I asked Sir Gudo to consider it. Ang sinabi niya? "Ay 'Sus! Typo lang yan!" Mali parin. Hindi ako satisfied sa 94 kasi madali lang yung test and a lot of my classmates got higher scores than I did.

PE, we went swimming. Ang saya! We played caterpillar and a lot of other relays. Our group won only once, I think.

Today, I noticed that a lot of my classmates got new hairstyles. Well, sort of. Let me see.. Nagpagupit si Nina, Roselyn at Paolo, tapos nagparebond si Clarissa. Wala pa ring nagpapakulot sa 27 - buti naman.. Wala lang.. :))

Hmmm.. so what else? Wala talagang balita kaso I promised myself I would update my blog at least thrice a week. Dati kasi mga once a month lang eh.

Well, since wala na 'kong masabi, bye muna.

[ book seven ]

Okay, actually this is about Harry Potter. Yes, I know, again. As you may have heard, JK Rowling might kill him off. Just thought you might like to know what she actually said. Yung susunod na article galing sa CNN. Hahaha, wala lang. Eto yung excerpt...

"I have never been tempted to kill him off before the final because I've always planned seven books, and I want to finish on seven books," Rowling said Monday on TV in London. "The final chapter is hidden away, although it's now changed very slightly. One character got a reprieve. But I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die," she said. "A price has to be paid. We are dealing with pure evil here. They don't target extras do they? They go for the main characters. Well, I do."

See, "don't target extras"... I suppose that means two main characters will die. I think it's going to be either Harry or Voldemort, or both. Then, "one character got a reprieve". Does that mean someone bad will get forgiven? Hope it's Draco. But most likely it'll be Snape. "Two die that I didn't intend to die". Maybe she wasn't really planning to kill Harry and/or Voldemort. But of course they had to die, so there's less risk of angry fans and copyright infringement. Haaaaay. Sayang!

On a lighter note, filiming has begun for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I think they're currently in Scotland (I don't know where exactly) for the... Anyway, the movie will probably come out in June 2007. Probably.

Especially since adik ako sa you know what. Hahaha!

Well I came here to write that and only that. Pero if you really want to know about my life...next time nalang. Lagi namang next time eh. Kelan kaya? :))
